For those of you that have worked on older Echos you will remember the fuel and oil lines that go mushy from modern gasoline/oil and age. Well on the 302 the gas line is two parts and you can replace them without much trouble. The oil line is a short, inside the tank affair that connects to a barb (fitting) inside the tank. The only route I see is through the oil cap (unless you split the cases). Trouble is the barb is at an angle toward the roof of the tank and the press on fit is hard to accomplish through the small oil cap hole. Have any of you solved this problem and can you share it with me? I have spent two hours trying with various bent hemostats, screwdrivers, and pliers to no avail. Mike

The only way I have done an oil line simaler to yours is with a pair of long bent nose needle nose pliers.I hope that helps.
