Echo 355t

I am wanting to put a 20 inch bar on my echo 355t for chunking down logs, anyone have any idea on what upgrades I need to make this possible

Cylinder porting and muffler mod at a minimum if you gonna run 3/8 LP chain. Now... I see there is a 1/4" bar and chain from Panther that may work better on a stock saw. But ya gotta be a bit forgiving with 1/4". Let it cut and don't push it.

Even then, I think 20" on a STOCK top handle is too much. Mabey drop down to at least 18 or 16". YMMV of course....

I agree with Chevyboy0167. I believe 16" is the maximum bar length for this saw. It's a top handle designed for above ground tree work. Try the CS-590 for a 20" bar.

I have a 16 on there now but I’m wanting to run a top handle to chunk down the tree for the light weight. How much would it normally cost to port out a saw?

This saw rips but I bet it was every bit of $1000 or more.....

Yup and the there is the nose heavy balance issue . Nose heavy climbing saw bad idea it might bite you.
