This came to me in a trade, good compression and fires on prime with 2-3 plus. Seems to be missing the trigger assembly. Does the first picture show the throttle rod? And does it connect directly to the trigger I’m about to purchase? Also, what is the function of that metal pin. I’m completely unfamiliar with the setup on this saw thanks IMG_5279.jpegIMG_5280.jpegIMG_5283.pngIMG_5281.jpegIMG_5278.jpegIMG_5282.jpeg

Yes, I believe so.

Also, what is the function of that metal pin.
Metal pin is a manual oiler which is operated by a thumb lever on the handle.

I have a 451VL in pieces along with a box full of NOS parts. Only thing it's missing is the carb... so I'd be interested to know what the carb in yours is & see some pic's if you happen to have it off :D

Will do. Mine just has a hole in the handle where the thumb trigger should be for the oil pump would be. Probably okay as it think the automatic oiler might be enough

Yeah, I'd imagine the auto oiler should suffice.
Here's a pic of the contents of the box I mentioned in case you or anyone else is looking for anything in there. I wouldn't want a lot for any of it but shipping to US would likely be upwards of US$20
