I can't believe it! First time I've been on here in quite a while and what is the first thing I see? Shane had me all pumped up to trade my old Husky 1100 for that saw and then back-pedaled. Wish I would have known it was for sale on here. Good luck with the 'ol girl Randy, I'm betting you're going to be real happy with it.

I told you I was gonna sell it instead  the 1100 wasn't worth the price I would have had to pay to ship the echo so it just wasn't worth it to me. Took you damn near 3 months to get me pics of that 1100 too ;) plus I already had a few chill'n. No beef at all man. Just putting reasoning in the thread since you made it sound like I got you all stoked then backed out. 3 months for pics is pretty hurt'n. IMO you back peddled.

Actually I bought it to give to my nephew to use as a firewood saw. He cuts a lot of firewood delivered as logs with his FIL. This saw will be perfect for him with the exception of the lack of a modern chain brake. I put a newer bar and good chain on it. It starts on the second pull cold and runs very well. I wish I had something like this given to me when I was younger.

That thing does have a chain brake randy. It's just not operated by the handle like most. All you can do is reset it with the handle after it goes off. No way of testing it quickly like the newer saws.

No beef here either, Shane. Yeah, had some problems with getting pics but you still had it available when I got them to you. Seems like you had just found a b/c for the saw and had kinda started changing your mind. I do remember you talking about selling it. Seems like that was right about when I was leaving for Alaska to bring my boat home. That boat has consumed my whole summer, which is why I haven't been on here. I didn't think I made my post sound pissy but I'll go ahead and apologize anyway.

Oh. I wondered about that. I know the three settings but I didn't realize that it would actually work to stop the chain.
