I own an Echo CS-280E with a 12" bar as my primary pruning saw. It uses a 50 gauge, 3/8's pitch with 45 links and in the past I've used Oregon, Sthil and cut your length chain from a spool on my original Echo bar. Today at Lowes I noticed that Husqvarna was selling a chain with identical specs called X-Cut for $5 USD and wondered if it would be compatible. The drive portion looks identical with the exception of a small hole on the Echo sprocket tooth. Has anyone had experience with this? Thank you.
