I saw one of these saws for sale at the pawn shop for about $230.00 it has a 27 inbar its in good cond. What do you think about echo cs 670. I looked it up on line but did not find many reviews.
That should get you plenty of input. If you want to check for general prices, do an Ended Auction search on eBayware, but you might live in area where saws sell cheaper than what they bring on eBayware. And of course I'm probably pointing out the obvious :Eye: (it's a gift; I have to use it ).
If it's at a pawn shop you could prob. get it for 2 bills or less. I had one and liked it. I liked the manual/auto oiler. I didn't have a problem with it but I wanted a 372 instead so I traded the echo for some tree work. Seems people think they last a long time. If it is good condition it should be a good deal I would think.
If these saws break, I'd say it IS worth fixing, I just think you have to know how to do it and be patient with things. they're good saws. if its anything like my Jred 670, its probably a beast. anyone else notice how the Jred 670 and the echo 670 share the same displacment and stuff like that? a lot of similarities. strange huh? I know they're two totally different machines, but they share alot of similarities.
I went to the pawn shop today and looked at it they had a solo 645 sittin next to it for $79.95 the lady said she would give it to me for $80.00 out the door so I took that one it seemed like a better deal the echo needed a new bar and chain and seemed to be more ratted out. The solo needs a new chain one of the drive lengths is bent. I will try to straighted it out tomorrow before I have to go to court for my car accident.
I had to take the saw back its fuel line was cracked and dry rotted guess someone did not have fuel in it for a while also the air filter was missing the piston and cylinder looked good they said they would have it fixed for no charge and I would get it back in about a week free of charge. I thought it was pretty nice of them.
