How do they compare in the same
wood?? With the same chain?
Well if you want to buy me one, I'll test it out.
It's purely about personal preference, get over it. I like the way it runs, the way it feels, the way it cuts.
If you prefer Stihl/Husky/insert brand other than Echo here, Then buy and run one. I'm not going to bash your choice in equipment, don't bash mine. They all have their strong points, and weaknesses. That's why there's more than one brand of saw out there. People might not like xx brand for whatever reason, but like yy brand instead. Buy it, use it, enjoy it.
If I find I made a bad choice from my own experience, I'll not only eat humble pie, I'll bake the damn thing myself and take seconds.
Comparison video seems misleading.. Husky appears to be in softwood, Echo appears to be in hardwood... From what I can tell from a youtube video anyway. Would need to see them, same video, back to back, with all other variables the same, IMO anwway.....
the husky would win every single time. Not a soul would debate that without even trying having to try it.
The echo is cheaper. I guess that's good!
I cannot disagree as stock the 562XP would hand it to the 600P every time. But were also not comparing apples to apples here as the Echo is significantly cheaper than the Husky.
A woods ported 600P would still be less than the 562XP and yet the results would be entirely different. I forget if it was Brad or Randy who posted the video of the 600P they worked over.
they have both done dandy 600P's. Tons of modding potential there. As stated though, price difference is 180 bucks, so no ya couldn't port a 600 and come out ahead. I agree it;s not apples to apples - the husky is strato, AT, lighter weight and does not require mods to perform. It's just not a fair fight
From running some?
No, the specs could be found a little here and there, if you really wanted to find them - but of course the Echo fans didn't want to do that. Actually it is obvious from how the Echo saws are built and ported that they can't put out much power, so we didn't really need the specs.
The brand either doesn't have a clue to how it should be done, or they just disrespect their costumers (and dealers) enough to not care. Clamshell style engines on saws that are claimed to be pro saws is another exemple - totally unacceptable! :taped:
i though electrolux bought that solution...like they buy everything else
And echos puny anemic hp figures are still bare-faced lies, for the truth deduct 25% and you'll be in the ball park. Still good to see echo getting snared in it's own web of lies and deceit
