Echo Limiter Cap Question

When you folks remove the limiter caps from an Echo chainsaw carb, is there any reason to reinstall it or simply give it a toss?

It's a little easier to get a screw driver on the adjuster screws if you trim the tabs off the limiter and reinstall them.

I trim the tabs off and reinstall them, like said, makes a little easier to adjust carb and some find carb adjustments retain their settings better.

Also if in pulling the limiter caps off you pull the medal plate off that covers the limiter caps you can simple press it back in place. The problem with using a screw in pulling the limiter caps off is they have the tabs on the limiter caps come out through a slot in that medal plate. When using a screw to remove the caps you screw the screw into the cap then pull the cap out, but the problem is you have to rotate the screw and cap back to the slot in the medal plate to pull the limiter cap out and often the screw will unscrew. No problem just pull the limiter cap and after you put them back in just push the medal plate back in.
