Hi I have an echo long reach tree pruner with chainsaw head plus articulated hedge trimmer.Hedge trimmer struggles cutting thicker growth back on hedging and chain saw head stuggles with thinner looser branches .
I was wondering if anybody has tried out hedging or circular saw blade attatchment for power pruners are they any good.

I got the circular saw one for my Ryobe. Works good for heavy weeds just got to swing it fast, move it slow and it dont cut good get it moving and it cuts fast.

The hedger attachment for the "Power Pruner" works pretty well. I bought mine before Echo acquired "Power Pruner", so there may be some differences.

I assume the unit you are planning it's use on is the 12' extendable power chainsaw? The rotating bar with the serrated teeth leaves a surprisingly clean cut, and handles thicker branches much better than a hedge trimmer.

It is a bit cumbersome to keep your trim lines straight and level, mostly because the swept area of the cutter is just not as big as a full fledged hedge trimmer. On the other hand, I can trim over 20' tall hedges with the 5' extension added to the basic 12' extension unit.

It works very well for what it was designed to do.

The circular saw blade is great for exactly that, but it struggles with bigger bits and is hard to cut smooth with the smaller bits. Watch it with bigger cuts, it spins so fast its hard on the shafts if you hit a big bit and stop in cold at full revs.
