Both of my 300 and 341 run very well when I first start them and stay well and ready for maybe 1 to 2 hours. After that it will fire normally with a single pull, just won't stay running as before. Once it cools down, it runs as normal again. The idle was adjusted properly at operating temperature. gas tank is NOT empty. I know it's not supposed to be this way since all my old Echo saws are ever ready. Since it's happening on both of them, it makes me think that it might be the way I adjusted them. Anyone have an idea why this is happening, or any similar expierences with Echo saws? Thank a lot for your input. Erwin

When the saws start having problems running is this only at idle or also at wide open throttle?

Thanks for your repply. When it starts having problem running, it will fire as you pull it. It just won't stay running long enough to pull the throttle trigger. I tried to pull it to start holding the throttle wide open, most of the time it won't start than way. Erwin

If you are not sure about your carb adjustments there are plenty of posts on how to do it correctly and lots of guys on here that are much better at it then me. If both are exhibiting the exact same traits it is unlikely that both had the same part go bad at the same time. One possible thing to check is the gap between the flywheel and ignition coil. I had a tractor once that would run great for about 45 min then just die. Ends up the coil pickup had worked its way towards the flywheel just a bit. When everything was cold there were no problems but as the flywheel expanded from heat it would rub on the coil pickup. Again, this is a long shot as both saws are having problems.
