in need of a carb that will fit an Echo SRM-230 straight shaft trimmer.
looking to replace non adjustable carb with a fully adjustable. cable operated throttle. needing this ASAP.

i solved the problem. its a non adjustable carb is the major problem. a new carb was completely out of the question. (unless i can find new carbs for $20)
runs now but still has the POS EPA carb.

Ben

That rotary carb is adjustable H, no adjustment L. How old is this 230? If you want to convert I have a 3 screw Zama off of a SRM-2400 complete with insulator block. The trimmer it came in on was seized so I have no idea what the condition of the carb is. I've never done this swap but there is a throttle cable P/N change. You may have to get creative with jetting and thr cable but I think it would work. It's yours for shipping if you want it.
