I need a new saddle, the cougar I am climbing with is seven years old for peat sakes. I am looking at the edge, sequoia and both versions of the TM. All saddles the 2014 version. It will be about sixty percent pruning and the rest removals. I climb DRT. I am leaning to the edge due to cost and the sequoia looks like it might be cut blood flow off. Just what are the pros and cons of these saddles?

I have a glide lite (very similar to the cougar) and an edge. I sometimes actually prefer my glide lite over the edge sometimes usually about 50/50. The edge is just a bit more bulky and has so many loops but is a lot more comfy then the glide lite because of the back support and bigger leg pads. I also prefer the bridge with the rigging plates versus the bridge on the glide lite which is so tiny. It all depends on situation if i'm doing small stuff with tight pruning and a lot of limb walking I throw on the glide lite because of how light and compact the saddle is but if im doing a removal I will most likely be wearing the edge. I think the edge is a more of a glorified glide lite rather then the baby brother to the ergo.

Sequoia suits medium weight build better, mine is beautiful
