hey All.. I've Got A Problem With A Echo 452vl. The Thing Has Real Good Compression, But When I Start It The Thing Starts
On The First Pull, Then It Idles Like Its Got A Cam In It. And When
I Rev On It Cut Out Time, Let Off The Trottle And It Returns To
Idle And Sounds Like A Cam But Don't Die. Its A Tillotson Carb.
Have Any Of You Ran Into This Problem? If So Sure Could Use The
Help.

It Has Two Pieces To The Carb. I'm Pretty Sure Its Good. I Put
Pressure On Them And They Didn't Leak, No Visable Cracks. Could It
Be A Diaphram?

This One Don't Have Reed's It Looks Like The Rest Of Them.
I Know It Puzzels Me. All My Saws Are Used And Not Having
Much Luck With Them, Can't Afford A New One But Have To
Stay Warm. Its Been Colder This Year So I'm Wearing These
Saws Out I Guess. Been Cutting 20in. Oak In Cookies So
A Little Easier To Split. Thanks

Your saw has points, and it sounds like your problem is in that area. Cleaning and regapping the points would likely improve your saw's
performance, replacing them would be better, or installing an electronic
module would be best.
