Sorry I cannot post a pic or even a drawing due to my computer illiteracy. Please try to picture this senario.
I have customer elm tree which has an included bark main crotch about 5 ft up.
The two main lead branches fork off above this crotch. One large branch on one of the main limbs has grown across another limb about 10 feet off the ground. The limbs have more than likely rubbed each from day one. Now the limbs have grown about 8-10" in diameter and as a result of their proximity, they have forced another crotch lower in the tree to develop a serious crack and threaten to split another major lead in the tree. Customer does not wish to remove a major portion of the crown to correct this problem.
I am looking for possible options.
