Holy cow!
What a lot of good information there to jump start research for anyone looking to buy a new stove.
We have a VC Defiant.
VC has finally been aquired by someone with deep enough pockets to bring it back to top shelf for the small wood stove shop owners to get behind again.
I'm not sure what the difference is between "crib wood" and "cord wood" as fuels listed, along with pellets.
If I were to guess, maybe crib wood is for cat stoves.
A great list to chose from.

Per the epa website

Crib wood"...a specific configuration & quality of dimensional lumber, 2x4 & 4x4 crib_wood_2.jpg
My guess is this wood is all pine

Cord wood: What we have out back on rackscord_wood_0.jpg

But cut & split to standardized sizes so as to make the testing loads as equal as possible
Question is : Is the cord wood, hard wood or is it pine?

Some of the stoves I've looked at have both the crib wood & cord wood data listed on their website
