You rock climb? Well why didn't you say so? You obviously don't need our advise, you're already a pro!

Forget a disappearer. I want a lite saber like luke skywalker had! No more saw or chipper needed!

Ehhh I would rather have Genie off the I dream of genie show
just a little wiggle of the nose and presto :hmm3grin2orange:
+ she looked good doing it lol!

Mmm???

You need the equipment to do the jobs you are going do.

What jobs are you thinking of doing and that's what you need.

Samurai sword and a SKY HOOK perhaps. :monkey:

If I had it to do over again I would have started out first with a stump grinder. I have a lot of equipment now but it still amazes me that I can go out on my own with just a 4x4 and my Rayco 1670dsx and make $500-1000 a day with no crew and virtually no exposure to risk and as I said NO EMPLOYEES . Gotta love that. Maybe you could find a company that doesnt have a bucket truck and work for them for a while to get experience witth climbing whilst you do stumps on the side. There is no replacement for experience.......

Oh yeah almost forgot, call Miss Utility before you grind...

So I guess your bucket trucks over there reach the Northern Red Oaks that can be well over 100 feet, right.

They also fit through 30" gates.....

And only cost 500 bucks or so?

Or do they levitate?

So do you free climb?

Go after education first...some mentioned it. Experience with established tree services. Study arboriculture at your local college and library. Read lots and lots of these threads. Tap into ISA and learn the skills of climbing and the art of pruning. If possible, attain ISA certification so you can understand what you're doing and can offer many services instead of just removals. Slowly and gradually acquire the tools you need to match the services you can offer and stop this nonsense about cranes and buckets!

Then start your business, when you can offer a positive impact on the industry.
