i wouldn't bother, 395 muffler's are close to 100.00 list price. plus the jury is still out if there is any benefit to the eu mufflers. this is a simple way to mod the muffler. if you want you can slip a screen in behind the bracket. but i don't run screen's in my saw's.

here's 2 more 395's

Ken,

I spoke with Husqvarna North America, Customer Service this this morning, asking details on 395 Mufflers.

There are three mufflers listed in the parts guide;

This is what I was told:

*compl 503 71 13-07 (FF) - $84.37 - "two chamber with spark arrestor", this is the one for North America

**compl 503 71 13-04 (Europe) -$XX.XX - "LESS RESTRICTION no spark arrestor" {NOT IN THE USA - they did not tell me one or two two chamber

**compl 503 71 13-05 (DJ) - $64.32 - "single chamber no spark arrestor" {MORE RESTRICTION????

Can a "single chamber no spark arrestor" have more restriction?

The Cost's I looked up on-line, could not locate a cost for the EU Muffler.

Just Researching.

Rergards

What is a "jungle muffler"?

Who is Qatanilsson?

SWE#Kipp You live in Sweden?

Can You get a cost for the EU muffler, part number 503 71 13-04 (Europe)?

i guess all the research if fun if you have the time, we all know i spend way too much time here.

but, i kind of look at it this way........ if it's a us or euro muffler either way the saw will benefit from it being opened up. by husky saying less restrictive.........is that like ben and jerry's ice cream saying less fat? less than what?

Yes i live in Sweden ,,, Qatanilsson is a member of this site ,, check the member list he also is a Swede, he has been very helpful to me, but he has not active lately so i suggest Mail to contact him :)
i can check it out for you but everything from husky is cheaper in the US so if i where you i would buy one there ,,, it cheaper for for me to order a modded muffler from lets say Walkers then to buy one here and mod it myself ,,,,

The 503711304 Europe muffler listed in the IPL, is also listed as available from Husky US. The retail is $64.32.

Try having your local Husky dealer order it for you. I haven't tried this one but I have received them for the 346 and I know they are available for the 372 as well.

i must admit when i got my first 3 saw's from ed they all had huge open holes in the mufflers. i was kind of like holy cr@p what did he do to my saw's. when i asked him about screens he said they just lead to problems. so like any dweeb i made screens, well on my 372 it lasted about 2 weeks before cracking and blowing out, so i just pulled the other 2 out.

i now have 8 saw's built by ed and 3 more to give him next week. i have not had a problem yet with any of his saw's. i really don't worry about the lack of screens anymore.

No screens in any saw muffler I have seen over here.
If there was a problem with debris getting into the engines, I bet the screens would have been there...
