Hey! Get this inta ya! Here's the KD088 Worksaw with a chain I made, it's a 36RS taken back and square ground on a 9 pin with a 17" Rollotronic bar I got from Z4lunch.
The wood is White Poplar and is 29.5" in circ.

Well, that looks like it does REAL fast work, I like it, just dont have the $$$ to buy one.

John, not bad on the chain. But, you better let Ed work on the motor. That saw should run a bigger sprocket than a 9 in popular.

Hey John ,

See your still up too no good as usual up that way. . Atleast your having fun while you work thats all that counts right. Well alright whats the 088 up too now for horsepower ?? Just wondering.. What happened to all your logging pictures ? Switch to video now or what ? What kinda lot you fixin to harvest nowadays some veneer I hope.. Well keep on logging and keep in touch

Rob

Gypo,
You have some great saws. Now you have me wanting an 088. Guess I need to buy one from you and have Ed do his majic on it.

LOL "ya like that don ya, why wodden ya" yes sir I do.

Do you have all the toys I want?

Hi Ricky, if that comment doesn't bring Ole Ken out of the closet, then nothing will. Actually Ed thinks the 088 is strong enough, but I don't have a bigger sprocket yet.
As can be seen my log stand is at least 12" too high, so I have several options, I could lower it, did a 3 ft. trench so it's perfect for Jarod, or use an apple crate on the other side so Ed and Chris will have the right height.
Here's a 12" Black Poplar.

John, you should of went to winnfield with me. You could of been in the great 3 cu. race. Well, the great 026 and husky 50 race. My 026 and the 346's was sucking the back tit. Cold start three cuts in 10 X10 sweetgum in 8 sec. That was a 026.

Ricky

MAn that 088 does cut fast, and it dont even have a tuned pipe on it. I'd love to see the specs on it for before and after the modifications, particularly the HP ratings.

066 stihl thats cool. Terry's my cousin and has some real fast saws. His boy is learning the ropes now to. Did you meet Coon? Fred

To be honest I like KD's work , i think he builds a good saw and the 088 when we geared it up and chained it up here, it cut quite well but has anyone noticed the GYPO MONSTER that we have created, now making faster chains than anyone, making cuts faster than anyone , can leap tall buildings in a single bound
well it's his story so i will let him finish it

066 stihl if you met coon you'd remember and he has some fast saws to. What type of saw won the 026 class? Were they much faster than you? Gypo thinks he has some fast saws and chains, he should go to that show at Winfield. Fred

Hatchet Jack, the 3 cu. class was won with a bada$$ 026. A husky 50 was second. Yes, they had a little more motor than I did.
