Soooooo... This weekend I had one of those days. Last week I bought my buddy's 288XP, AWESOME SAW!!!! Definitely one of my all time favorites. I picked this bugger up for $300. Runs like a champ... Things are well, was headed in to cut some wood with my new saw... Thennnnnn, my universal joint went on the front of my Jeep, I started out going to just replace the UV joint, and ended up with new pads/rotors, I put a 3" lift on it, and new shocks. When I put it all back together the damn calipers were sticking and man oh man what a pain to get it all working right... Then, and this is the kicker, I hadn't had it back together for an hour and was going to hit the trails for some mud, on the way in, I hit a bank, the results are below... Check that out, lmao... Sooooo, now I ordered new spring with a 4 inch lift and am going to put 36" tires and new gears on it. It's always something eh? Ever get that feeling when you keep running into problems that you just should leave something and come back??? This weekend I shoulda just went fishin', lol...

Wow! You go to a lot of trouble to get an excuse to buy more performance equipment. :jester:

(must be tough gettin' the missus's approval)

Wife?

OMG dude, my wife is the worst one. She actually encourages it. I'm buying the springs for the 4" lift in the front of my Jeep, she went and ordered the rear ones for me, lmao... Talk about pushing... Thank god we ain't into drugs, she'd be buying them for me, lmao... Saws, performance parts for my Jeep, she just bought me a new wood trailer last week. Dude, there's only one like her I'm tellin ya now. Her idea of heaven is a 12 pack and us running the muddy trails in our old Jeep, lmao...

course there are those few pitstops along the way forrrr, ummmmm, ya know, lmao...

i have those days too.they are called mondays.

shackle reverse kit will keep that from happening again.i used to do them on FJ40 landcruisers.i highly recommend it for the old REAL jeeps.

I guess we all have different ideas of fun. I always got tired of spraying mud off the truck myself...

Heh I figured out a good little trick for that. When ya get home park in a low or rough spot in the yard and put a rainbow type sprinkler underneath for an hour or two. Makes the quarters go a lot further at the wash and helps even out the yard. :D

.

Course your mileage may vary.

Dude, that's like the best idea ever. The only thing is I'd really miss seeing the wife parade around in her bikini washing the Jeep... I shall get pics this weekend and let you all make the decision, lmao...

Jeep = Just Empty Every Pocket

Keep that in mind and the all the rest is just minor stuff... Jeepin makes this chainsaw thing seem like a frugal diversion! (says XJWoody as he contemplates building his third set of axles in seven years)

Awsome idea, its time to give the old truck this springs salt bath.

I had an old J 4000 Pickup that a buddy called Heep. Or "Junk Each and Every Part

I never found it amusing.

Nope

I don't think pickin on the old Jeep is very good either... Next time someone thinks about a Jeep, think about this. I bought her 5 yrs ago with 84k on it. I skidded logs with it, yes as a tractor, for 2 years. She has over 200k on her now. I still go muddin every spring, pull a 2 ton wood trailer and still take the soft top off all the time, this is the 3rd, the first 2 I ripped off from low overhanging trees, lmao... Even with all this, it still got me to work, almost 100 miles round trip everyday, for 3.5yrs and has NEVER left me stuck. I dunno, sounds ford tough to me eh??? Gotta love an old Jeep, lol...

So I got my new springs right? Wouldn't you know it the bushings are different for the new springs... I called'em and asked what the dillio was, they are going to try to have'em to me by friday. I've got surgery tomorrow, will hopefully be better by saturday to get'em on and if the good lord is sittin' on my shoulders I'll be down to show some boys how to cut some little chips, lmao...

I really hate washing the mud off of my bike after a muddy race...But my son will happily take the pressure washer off of my hands and spend hours washing my bike..Should I feel guilty?...I don't make him do it,he thoroughly enjoys it.
