I don't think pickin on the old Jeep is very good either...

Hope you didn't think I was pickin on the Jeep, I just have a thing about shackle lifts in general and especially on the front of "front-shackled" Jeeps. Unless the rear perches are modified (in which case it may be easier/cheaper/safet to just buy s kit...) the caster and toe get all goofey.

I JUST inherited the Wife's YJ after she traded her minivan in on a WJ. Yeah, I got the '92 YJ with the 2.5 and she got the WJ with the 4.7. Seems fair enough. I drag the splitter, 3 saws, fuel, oil, and toolbox to the woods with the little YJ. F-U-N vehicle to say the least.

It had a light knock in it when we bought it (very used), and one day I was driving to work and chucked a rod through the block. I stuffed an ebay '93 2.5 with trans in it, and it's been serving me well since.

Soooooo... This weekend I had one of those days. Last week I bought my buddy's 288XP, AWESOME SAW!!!! Definitely one of my all time favorites. I picked this bugger up for $300. Runs like a champ... Things are well, was headed in to cut some wood with my new saw... Thennnnnn, my universal joint went on the front of my Jeep, I started out going to just replace the UV joint, and ended up with new pads/rotors, I put a 3" lift on it, and new shocks. When I put it all back together the damn calipers were sticking and man oh man what a pain to get it all working right... Then, and this is the kicker, I hadn't had it back together for an hour and was going to hit the trails for some mud, on the way in, I hit a bank, the results are below... Check that out, lmao... Sooooo, now I ordered new spring with a 4 inch lift and am going to put 36" tires and new gears on it. It's always something eh? Ever get that feeling when you keep running into problems that you just should leave something and come back??? This weekend I shoulda just went fishin', lol...

If you were driving a Scout, you could have cut wood, hit the trails, and driven it home under its own power! You Jeep guys will learn someday! :biggrinbounce2:
