Excited to start chainsaw carving!!!

Hey everybody! I'm Roger (53) and I'm a professional graphic artist, sand sculptor, and pumpkin carver if you can believe it. I've always wanted to sculpt wood and what better way then to block it out with 35cc chainsaw! A few of my friends are some pretty amazing chainsaw carvers so this was the next logical step in growing the mediums that I sculpt. So I AM literally a brand new newbie!!! LOL

Thought this site just made sense. I'm always looking for advice and open to suggestions.

I just ordered my first chainsaw....an Echo 361-p, a cannon 12 inch dime tip bar and carving chain and 1/4 inch sprocket.

Pro pumpkin carving isn't that unusual it seems.

It's funny how many of my friends carve pumpkins and some started on pumpkins and branched out while others started with chainsaws and branched out to pumpkins, etc. etc. but we're all adding new mediums to our sculpting LOL.
