Factory reconditioned McCullochs?

Just curious what’s up with these factory reconditioned McCullochs I see on eBay? Were they really rebuilt by McCulloch at some point? How rare are these? How valuable are they?

The model you reference is a Tucson (AZ) based McCulloch saw. Those were built during the time frame of employee ownership and it seems there were enough problems (assembly plant was in Hermosillo, MX) that many were brought back and "rebuilt". Sadly, they are not all that rare, like the rest of the Tucson saws.



There is another eBay seller that says he was the "factory shop" that rebuilt McCulloch saws.
