Oops, I was wrong. Here's Robert with his amazingly fast Art Martin saw, which is also a 655. This saw will usually beat piped saws...

Yes sir, that there is what we call a "Ball Breaker" of a saw. Torque monsters....Seriously. Chain speed a tad, tad slow, but that is it. What did he do to it? I got one (an older p62 but the same saw) that my Dad is putting together for me. I figured I use it the next time I went back up to some really big stuff off the rez (40-50" ers). You can really tell how strong those saws pull by the way you can backbar an undercut (when the tree is on your right side). They just pull right on in, and through. Other than that or maybe some big tree removals ( a lot of big rounds to cut) I'll be just fine with my Husky.

I'd have to ask Robert for the details. I'm not sure if it runs on gas or alcohol. It is race ported.....muffler opened way up.....stock appearing, don't think it has a removable head. and it sports a race chain, though it needs a new one. Chain speed ain't slow!!! Sounds like it's turning 12 k in the cut....and prolly sports a 9-10 tooth sprocket. I made a few cuts with it after the Amboy Log Show...yep, it's fast, alright!

Hell yes that PP655 of Robert's is fast... An awesome saw...

I remember when there were a few of those being used in the woods around Kapowsin, and King Creek. Good saws.

Too bad Poulan bit the dust with the quality of their saws...

Awesome pics of the job Burvol...
