i find lots of uses for a good prybar around larger wood. i've bent, messed up tips on prybars, thrown, gave away etc.

i had one of these before and it disappeared after years. Went thru a number of other prybars before i found this one again. Strong shape tubular steel, farily light for strength shape gives it. And the 'nose' tip is flat and wide giving great strength.

Doesn't quite fit in a 3/8 kerf though, but close! Strong, Klein tool for work, missed it while it was gone!

Ive found that a Truck lock ring remover works great for a variety of applications
Although i cant find a could picture of one
there 30" long have a hook on 1 end and flat on the other.

I've got a 6' pry bar in the truck(usually buried under chips) but what I tend to use is a mill dog(short cant hook) and a grubbing hoe. The grubbing hoe blade will slip into a kerf and the ax side serves as a camming pivot point to pop stuff loose with a little pressure on the stout hickory handle.:)

Kenny, doesn't the fire department use something very similar to the bar you have shown in the picture there?

One of those big fat old screw drivers with a bent tip. Bout 2 feet long.

Hav not seen it for around 2 years since a groundie said he put it in the back of the truck, then dumped.
