Favorite wire-core lanyard?

Anybody on here use the "flipline hitch" aka "high rigger's hitch" with a wire core flipline? Straight to the D-ring...(Instead of a friction hitch, prusik, or mechanical adjuster)


I've used it a few times just to see what is was like. Not very practical but it does work if you have no other options.

Never heard of "flipline hitch" or "high riggers hitch". What kind of hitch are we talking about? Does it resemble a prusic......do you have a picture?



Basically it's like a knot that you use to sort of tie in a wire core lanyard around the D ring.
 
I'd be cautious using any hitch where you are directly tying to the D-ring. My flip cord came with an express warning not to use a Beckett Bend hitch which is an old hitch that was used with rope lanyards a lot back in the day.
