I went by my dealer today to get a new file for my 009L chain saw and the dealer sold me a 9/64 file ... my manual says it should be a 5/32. Did he sell me the wrong size or is the manual wrong. I'm sure there is a perfectly good explanation but it is beyond me at this late time at night.:dizzy: :dizzy: :dizzy: :dizzy: :dizzy:

Your file is only off by a 64th of an inch

Been a long time since I filed a chain that size, make sure you match the file to the chain your using. If it is an older saw/manual, it might not of kept up with currant lower-profile chains ?

nope - using straight file grinding bits. hook them up to my dremil (sp) like tool with the long extention so can use it like a pencil. works absolutely awesome.
