All I'm saying is that I'm very very surprised that someone working with climbing, lifting, hoisting and rigging has never heard a knife referred to as a "rope wrench". "Rope Wrench" has been in my vocab for decades and not sure if it came from Military or Scouts.
I'm just saying that I find it funny that a product designed to HOLD and ascend is named after something that many may see as something used to cut you loose.
