I should have got my C class sawyer cert. I could have been on the rim and american fires

To work for Cal Fire or USFS you need to take the FSTEP annual safety training. For Cal Fire there is no C faller certification requirement. You need to be on a list though. Contact the Hired Equipment coordinator for your unit for details.
 
It occurs to me that I have ample opportunity to shoot at drones... with the hose on my truck. Might just do that, get a laugh. I think I can get almost 100' of stream with a Forester nozzle and the pressure at about 210PSI. If I arc it just right, and lead it just so, I can miss the thing by an easy 1500 feet.
