Firechief 1500 and 1700

Hey folks..new to the site and new to the wood furnace world. Burned a a lot of wood via stove but never with a furnace. My questions are has anyone used Firechief’s new models (1500 & 1700)? I bought the 1700 and put it in my attached garage and have it pulling air from inside the house. With the 8” ducts have them piped into my existing HVAC duct. Waiting for he flashing kit to go through the roof so obv haven’t had a fire yet but just wondering if there are tricks to this unit I should know about. From what I’ve been told there different from past models and are more improved. Any info on making my life easier when I get it running is greatly appreciated. I read about ppl getting rid of the thermostat and changing other stuff and to make it run better but don’t want to screw anything up. Looking forward to some good feedback. Thanks

Isn't a BK a stove, not a furnace...
This a new model, I doubt TSC has these...at least not that I could find...you have a link?

No these are totally different...and even the Hot Blast has been reborn into a clean burn heater now!
