They see the trend too, my friend.

It makes nice comfort wood but I sure wouldn't want to rely on it to heat my home. Someone should be marketing this idea to the liquor stores. Get that nice bottle of wine/brandy and a bundle of firewood all in the same place.

3/4 cu foot bundles, at $4.79, comes out to $817.50.

1 cu ft bundles, at $4.79, comes out to $613.21.

I hear cottonwood burns real pretty. Might look into that, I have a few cords down that I have been dragging my feet to get. Wouldn't be too heavy either after it dries. Much easier to load into the cart too than good wood.

You have a gift for numbers. Have you ever played blackjack at a casino?

.75 cu. ft.

Ive seen bundles like that for 6.99 at the supermarket here in Ohio. WOW what a ripoff! and the hard part to comprehend is that it sells!! .75 cu. ft. of wood will barely get the stove warmed up! better buy two! Might sell for more the closer you get to the city????

No, I tend to avoid gambling. Lost Wages, Nevada has no draw for me.

After getting their weeks pay, four men can set down at a table and gamble all night long. Not a penny more leaves the table than what came to it in the beginning. After they walk away not one of them is good for a full days work in the morning.

The idea of supplying one or 2 of the local hardare stores or convienence stores with bundles is appealing though. In another thread someone mentioned that in their area of Canada the hardware staore was selling palletized firewood for $180 per half cord. I can get pallets and they can unload them when I deliver. It's a thought. Just have to have a good supply of wood ahead of time to start out with and know that I am not going to run out after it gets started.

Surprising what people will pay for stuff if the size is right.

The bundles in front of our local grocery store are $6.99 - for 6-7 pieces. Thats approx. $1.00 per split!!! And someone is buying them because the stacks keep getting smaller!!
