I was only the groundy but it was way cool. 100' lighting strike pine. First 20' broke out a few weeks ago and the rest was taken out in 3 pieces. The tree was basically split in two down to 15' of ground. Sure made it nice on clean-up and hauling stuff to chipper though. No humping large pine outta the back yard:clap:

Congrats brotha maybee next time you can set some straps or even make some cuts . I do mostly all my removals with my crane but theres always a time where you cant use it than its back to basics and you sure miss it taking down a monster paulownia in a 30'' wide back alley way in north philly lol:greenchainsaw:

Cranes are so cool. I like it when the pieces go from trunk to truck, sure saves time and sore muscles. I always liked watching a top jump off a stick at eye level, but its a eerie feeling when its lifted up over you. Congrats.

My first crane job went well too.
I lived.
I was almost decapatated because it was my first.
I became an expert the next pick.
You learn fast in this industry or you leave.:monkey:

The cane operator was very experienced with doing tree removals. Now boss wants to always use it. Won't here me or other groundies complaining at all. I would like to take a ride on the ball though
