After some research on here and other websites, I decided to build a simple chainsaw mill. Got to try it out yesterday and am pretty impressed. Now you guys are going to get me hooked on this too!

Nice work and welcome to CSM.

looks like the one i built last month ,a 36'' old bar a worn out 460 and 1 1/2 "tube frame that holds 2 qt of peanut oil. yours looks like fun to , nice wood .

Maybe I am missing something here, but what is the peanut oil for?

*Edit:

OK, I see. You have a peanut oil dispenser to lubricate the chain while milling.

It won't let you load pictures? Too bad, I want to see it. I made one a lot like Wat's, only out of cheap angle iron with no supports in the center. It likes to twist and flex, which would be great if my goal was to make boards for a playground slide or something. I hurled the thing out into the woods somewhere. I think I will build a new one with square tubing.
