im foolin with my 372 this morning and decide to put an sprocket on it,, that i bought cheap on ebay,,last yr.. cant remember the seller.
any way ,,i started spining the chain and she gets loose an tite as i turn it..pulled the sprocket off to check ,,and sure enough the machining of the sprocket is visibly off...no name on the sprocket,,but kinda makes me think he got a good deal on some sprocket makers,, rejects..
put the old sprocket back on and she true again ..ill get a new one tommorrow.. just thot id mention this ,,as i see these deals on ebay all the time..
buyer beware. whoda thot

Thats why I just go to the shop and get it myself instead of ordering it online, unless I have to get a new drum along with the sprocket, then I'll order online. I WILL NOT argue with the moron at the saw shop, he has NEVER worked on a chainsaw in his whole life, He has no idea what the difference between pitch and gauge is on a sawchain. I'll just order the parts from him.

yep rocky ,,u rite.. lesson learned but iit was a first for me.. thot id warn the rest of arbor site.i consider ebay an sellers market myself.. havnt had much luck buying ,,via that market.. too many unknowns
