I have never before had so much trouble with hydraulic couplers as on this new swinger loader. I have tried every trick I know and they are for
most part hard as hell to connect. I thought it was pressure on the grapple side but I loosened the hoses up on that and it still was almost
impossible to connect. Thoughts or advice?

I got tired of them failing on my Bobcat at $60 each so I switched to the old style (pioneer adapters, I think) Easier to couple and uncouple. They drip a little but so do I. Haven't had one fail yet.

Before you uncouple the grapple shut the machine off and move the aux. control each way a few times then disconnect the lines. When you go to reconnect hook up to your grapple shut the motor off do the same with the valve as you did prior to disconnect. They'll go right on no fuss.

I've cracked the fittings open to try to relieve pressure before and it just doesn't have the same effect as dumping pressure using the valve on the machine. No idea why this is just what I've found.

At least that's how our mid 2000s Swinger 2000 is.

Thats what I have to do on my mini when hooking up my grapple too.

I sometimes have problems with my couplers too. Turn the machine off . Turn on the key. If you have a electronic parking brake or button you have to push to operate the machine you have to also push that. Judt push both buttons a few times and it should work.

It seems like even a slight temp change can make then a pain to put on or take off.

You have to realize the swinger loaders do not have "buttons". They are not electric over hydraulic.

Our plate compactor for the back of the tractor backhoe is a ##### sometimes. The Tech from the deere dealership said from going from the shed to sitting in the sun for a couple of hours with the attatchment dissconnected is enough to make the fluid expand and put pressure in it, Making it a ##### to hook up

Do you have another attachment that you can hook up which will in turn isolate whether it's the machine side or the attachment side? A few years back I was experiencing a bunch of headaches trying to hook up... stump grinder would hook fine, log splitter would hook up fine but my grapple (the most used item) would give me fits... this convinced me the machine was fine. I broke the threads on the attachment a few times and this helped but was a little bit of a pain. Eventually, I ordered (parker) an o-ring kit from a distributor out of FL and all was good. Now it's back to doing it again (not as bad)... unfortunately we're in a dirty / dusty business and the slightest debris is going to cause headaches... hope that helps.
