When I was reading the ITCC rules:

http://www.isa-arbor.com/ITCC/Rules_Jan2003pdf.pdf

the sections 2.2.8 and 2.2.9 caught my eye. From what I could see, that means that the Fly can't be used as a climbing line in the ITCC. Does anyone interpret this another way?

If the Fly can't be used, can anyone think of a reason? This seems really funny to me.

Methinks a fewe people were miffed by the Fly's introduction last summer.

I think Para 2.2.9 is from cave static ropes being introduced for SRT. They want proof that the manufaturer agrees with the usage.

I dropped Sean Gere a line to see if he has any insite there.

I mentioned this in Saddle set up. Thought maybe I was reading it wrong. Sure sounds like you need 12.5mm to climb off of to me.
