Who makes the best puller to pull flywheels? I just broke the device I made and am looking for a new one just wonder what everyone else uses. Thanks
Here's a pic of the flywheel I'm trying to take off.

That one may need the special puller that threads into the flywheel, I dont know
I'm trying to get the flywheel off on 045 right now and it just wont budge. I'm hitting it pretty hard dont want to overdue it. Its being stubborn,..
Hit your local shop, toss the guy on the bench a $10 bill (called a tip), and be happy your not replacing a flywheel or crank.
Should only take a few minutes.
No it covers a handful of saws. I can do a cross reference and list em if you are really interested.
If there are threaded holes on the flywheel you can use a steering wheel puller. If not you need a special puller. You will need bolts that screw into the holes on the flywheel.
This is what I used to pull the flywheel of my Husky 2100, and the clutch off my 08s. I bought it from the auto parts store. You can get one from Advance Auto. They let you buy it/rent it for free and return it or you can keep it. Other auto parts store have them to.
I have the exact set #1. in the link. I had to modify the pullers bolt, cut off the tip so I could get it to fit with the short bolts I had.
Steering Wheel Puller Set
That would be great if you would do that. I'm going to stop by the dealer tomorrow and see what he has or what he can do.
I can tell you (and Andy could testify) that the Husky puller that is designed to remove the flywheel on a range of saws including the 3120 is really a wimpy one.
I think the right steering wheel puller would have worked well on a 3120, for example. Whereas the OEM pulller bent all to heck without extra support.
He might tell you he can't sell them - he's not supposed to... many do... but cheapstihlsawparts sells them.
I've been thinking of making a run of "substantially similar" pullers on a friends' cnc lathe... but... it won't happen for a few months. I can make one-off easily on my equipment, but I can buy "1" far cheaper...
