Me on hooks notice all the saws and weight I have with me and I am more comfortable than if I were on the ground.

G'day again everyone.

Great advise tom That seems to concur with rocky...The balance by toes is important to me,forever in pretty ordanary spots..Now that I hear this maybe my "leap of faith" might be a bit harder..
Hmmmm, Might have to put Tom in the no pile...

G'day from down under Tony T, I see this is your first post - thanks and keep posting,
seems like a no here to, but then again...
In my feild, its mostly a combination, not a lot of limb walking, when there is, its usealy to proctect some thing like certian plants and "habittats". Might have to have two sets of gaffs now, one for tall stuff (few limbs) with footplates and one set without for the twisted stuff?? Do they take long to put on and off?I was tring to save$$$..What keeps you busy Toni..
kindest regards Derek..

Hi bigjohn, I thought you had cut off your face on purpose till I saw the 2nd shot! Nice to meet you. Ilove the extention to your flipline:cool: you do look cool&comphey!

Needed two flip lines once, and my ex- groundie (Please come back Jeff)in pic, had long painters poles pushing them up the tree for me, How did the early "high climbers" (as in Art Martin "will the real logger please stand up") do it ???.

I tried all sorts of adjustments and have them as good as they'll get Happy b/day for the 11th..

Hay (tom??) how do i start one of those poll things? I'm looseing count! Stay well Derek..

Trust me on this.

Footplates are a Linesman thing, not a Treeman option. And IME, even then I personally didn't like them.
Again, IME, if yur spurs are long enough, sharp, and at the right angle, you shouldn't have to stomp yur spur into the tree.
That saves a lotta wear/tear/PAIN below your knees.

Oh, and this...

These are about $50, and last maybe 6 months.

I've done the expensive thing. But, everybody's feet are different.

These work out fine for me. :)

Sweet!

Here's yur avatar, Derek! :D
