Nice work and quite a tree to fall in someone's yard, damn. Did you get to test out the new 357 up in the top?

No...I used a 200T,then brought up the 346 to cut a few blocks down from the top......I originally bought the 357 for just that, but found it a bit heavy for my comfort up there...The 346 does the job nicely:rock:

did you hit where you were aiming, rah...i see we share some of the same opinions on mr. specs

Had I missed,I would not have posted the pics...The butt of the log sat down about six inches past where the pipe was that I was trying to avoid..The very tip missed that one holly tree by mear inches...a little farther over to the left, and I would have been re-building that wall.

Nice thread,,,,

I've missed a few times...But why would I want to show that????...I don't want any reminders of misses.

I don't have any pics of the porting...I'll take some of the muffler when I get a chance.....I didn't do anything drastic to the ports...The exhaust port was opened up more than the intake...I probably took a total of 2mm off of the exhaust, then polished it until it looked like a mirror....I'm not sure how much I took off of the intake side...much of the work was done to the lower side of the port...It would have been hard to see much of a difference from stock in a picture.

I got a couple of questions. Would it have been possible to take more of the tree down from the top thus taking the wall out of the equation? And second how did you go about getting the butt to jump that far?
Great job by the way!

Of course..I could have lowered it a little more...but after being in that tree nearly 8 hours,I was ready to come down, plus sometimes I just like to challenge myself..........I'm not telling how I got it to jump that far:hmm3grin2orange:...A very experienced faller can probably look at pics and figure it out..I can't be givin' out secrets..:biggrinbounce2:

That tree was nothing compared to the big poplar I've got to do sometime in the near future....I get to fall that whole tree..It should be a rush.

The section that was fell was almost exactly 90 feet tall

Once the wedge is cut, there is no turning back

Big tree there ole boy. Looks like you got her right where you wanted her. That baby put some funds in the pocket I'm sure. Good job!!!

What got into you to go get an '07 R6? A very sweet ride!

I've been racing hare scrambles and gncc's for the last fifteen years.Due to knee problems I had to give it up for a season or two...I just couldn't live without a motorcycle..I rode everything in the 600 and 1000 sportbike class, and the R6 just seemed to be the best fit..The only other choice was an R1,but I'm just cruisin' on it,so I really don't need all those cc's

I just sold my R1 last winter. I loved that bike but it had to go. I likes to make the speedo say 189mph too much. I still have my 2000 ZRX1100. I act a little better on it. Let me know if you need parts or accessories for it. I have a good friend who is the parts manager at a major Honda/Yamaha shop.
Have fun with it!!!

That's good to know.....I'll never know what I may need.
