hey, we can increase our google search profile by the amount of traffic we get to them. how about we make a pact to visit eachother's website once a day to increase our profile? we will do a google search for it and then click on the link. if we are in different cities and there is no threat of competition, then it is a win/win. we can IM each other to touch base on the progress. through blogging, i have increased my profile substantially. any thoughts?

I checked your site out. looks good but not near enough pics for my taste. I like pictures of work and the people JMHO.

it's being overhauled right now. i'd like to improve it some more. thanks for the input. corporations pay big $ for that kind of feedback!

I visited your site twice. Now in my Favorites. Will watch for further devlopment. My site is still in rough stages, but has gotten me quite a bit of business. If I do a Google search for "Tom's Tree Service" I come up at the bottom of the first page. If I enter my city and business name, I come up at the top of the page. This year I'll be taking time to get better pics and edit some videos together that show how we operate. The biggest comments I get on my site from anyone who really knows anthing is: "Where's the PPE.?" And: "I see you got a chainsaw stuck." --photo on first page. Like I said, I need to update my photos.

tom, i found your website. it looks good. i definitely need to incorporate more tree care related photos and maybe a human element like a family playing on the grass near my applications text. thanks for the imput. i'll visit your site everyday.
thanks, kevin

Nice layout

"Before and After" really didn't tell a story for me. Suggest a tree before and after trimming. Keep it simple. The site looks professional. Adding some people will make it more friendly.

Do you consider traffic "click throughs" or bandwidth?

I'll be checking out all the sites, mine is http://treedivision.com/

Just from experience dealing with companies like STIHL make sure it looks like all safety equipment is being used. I had a pic of my crew standing infront of a standing butt with the big scaff cut and displayed and STIHL was saying nobody is wearing safety gear and they are standing infront of a tree with a scaff cut, mean while the thing was 16' feet tall, but the top was not visible in the picture. Check out my posting on the Ax Men thread. It is amazing these days how people/companies even are asking what you site trafic is.

How old is your site, and how many page views do you get these days?

Also, if you have a stats program functioning, you may not need much in the way of IM or PM - the stats would probably indicate if Arborist Site users were visiting more often.

Nice work guys.

This "was" what I did for a living in a past life. Here is some free advise for everyone who wants to build a site that will get high rankings on all of the major search engines.

most go by a set criteria and if the site is user friendly it will rank high with very little traffic. It does take time though, think months not days.

1. a clean site that has its meta data setup so each page has this "keywords for each page that can be crawled by all the search engines"

2. a site map that can be accessed by search engines

3. Frequent updates main page updates

4. Find SEO listing sites that you can submit your site to. They in turn will submit that to all sites they have in a database. "think like a pyramid and you are at the top" your site will filter down all the levels. DO NOT SUBMIT YOUR URL DIRECT TO GOOGLE, YAHOO ETC ETC.

Also from the sites I did see above that have the ISA logo. If you are ISA certified then you must put your ISA number/name under the logo or you will get into trouble with that.

Cheers!

I haven't been able to attatch my website to my posts on here. after the 3 w's it'd be nortontreeservice dot com. My site has been an ongoing process and I'm not even at half the limit I'm allowed for the monthly fee. I may build a second site for or Jeep projects and adventures...
