For any given meaning of "renewable"... "A nonrenewable resource is a natural resource that cannot be re-made or re-grown *at a scale comparable to its consumption*." (Emphasis mine).New theory heard just this week says maybe NO dinosaurs involved, maybe some other renewable natural chemical process? But SCIENTIFIC FACT that a scientific THEORY was once FALSELY believed to be SCIENTIFIC FACT "that the earth was FLAT"? No telling where the politicians will take us/ world within the NEXT few years?
I.e., "nonrenewable" in this context doesn't mean more can't or won't be made, at some point, given the right conditions - just that it currently *isn't*, in any quantity that would do us any real good.
