Found that air leak...

Stihl 025 would not idle, obvious reason here. Guess 30 years of use can take it's toll.

Also found a cracked intake boot and impulse line! Surprised this thing ran at all.

Was it racing, falling flat on its face, or wavering?

Just curious.

Racing at idle before lean die out with throttle completely closed, pulling in that much air through the leaks.
