Thursday Morning I was Called out to Grind a Stump Kind of an emergency Situation for a Pool going in and the Backhoe wouldnt pull it. So I Show up onsite back the grinder up to the stump about a 5' Oak Remove it. As I'm about to pull away from the stump the home owner Ask me to Grind out a smaller one near the property line.I ask him Wheres you septic Tank? He replied its in the front Yard. So I Back acroos the yard 4' from the Stump the truck Rear wheels starts slipping. What the Heck? Cant pull forward either Hmmmmmm? I get out and notice the grinder is way over on an angle.Hmmmm Tire fall of?Axle Break?
No The Weight Broke the Top of the Tank and the Dang grinder Frame on the Right side is setting on the Ground! I was in the f-350 Dump and not in the 4X4
So i couldnt get the traction to pull it out. Finally had to run a cable around the Axle and Pick it up with the back Hoe! Alot of trouble for a tank that was supposed to be in the front yard 80' away! :dizzy: Too bad i didnt have a camera!

I always look for the well head.  Around here, anyway, the well is supposed to be separated from the septic system by 50', so usually they're on opposite sides/ends of the house.

I have come across old cisterns, though...

Don't you love it?? A couple weeks ago I went to finish up a quick landscape install for a guy, ended up getting a bobcat stuck and turning a 2 hour job into a muddy 10 hour day. Needless to say, I didn't come out ahead that time, you're lucky there was a backhoe on site....

I am always searching for the good. Thank God no one was hurt, it could have been worse. That does stink when things happen like that though.

Haven't found one yet either but how can you post these great stories with no pics :D

Sad to say, I have been there and done that. :( Only it was the truck that went through, and not the trailer. I had to get towed out by a friend.

For some reason, the subject reminds me of my construction days when I was 19.

There was an Italian framer and a native Indian driver of the high lift forklift (the 4 wheel drive kind with the long boom that extends 3 stories.

Anyway, these guys are always heckling and joking each other.

One day, the Italian goes into the outhouse to take a leak - the unit is on a pallet.

What do ya know...

Good ol Phil the Indian comes zipping up with the fork lift, and from the front so the frame traps the door on ol Art the Italian.

No securing lines...

The Indian lifts him up over two stories high and takes off down the road at about 25 miles per hour.

It's amazing. It never went over. Nothing was secured, not even the outhouse to the pallet.

Almost a qualifier for the Guinness book record for loudest sreams ever.

I wouldn't think that was very funny. Risking my life from impact and/or infection isn't funny. Not that I wouldn't laugh if I saw it happen to someone else and end OK.
