Hey Folks

I got a Mac 110 that looks good and is free to the first interested party. I only ask for the shipping costs. It needs the carb gone through, starter spring replaced, and an ignition wire. It has the black Mac 110 12" bar and a new chain on it. Otherwise I'm going to pitch it in the dumpster. Thanks, JJ

and that is an old picture! I have added a select few more since. Mainly the really big older ones, but a couple of the 10 series as donors. Still working on getting my Super 44 up to snuff to meet and compete with the fellas across the lake in August.

I have a mint Mac 250 with an open stack that I really need to clean up and put a carb kit in. Should be fun to run.

Howdy John

Those Mac 250s are fun saws, but they're a bit LOUD and OBNOXIOUS. I have four of them in varying states, plus one new .030 over 250 piston which outta make things interesting. I wonder how they run on nitrous??

Funny little toy

Well I played with it this weekend in between everything else and it now runs just fine. Put a new recoil spring I had in the kit box. Funny as I bought a "lot" of mac stuff awhile back off ebay and thought I would never use any of it. What do you know but there was a brand new spring in there just waiting. fiddled with the carb and just cleaned up everything on it and put it back together and it works fine. Had a wacky spark plug, so put a new one in. vacuumed out the oil and gas taks to make sure to get any dust and crud out. A few tugs and she fired right off. had to adjust the carb to idle but now she runs just fine. That chain has me puzzled, it is a sabre, and fits the sprocket, but you can see that from going around the small tip that the links are becoming round on the bottom. Dunno if the sprocket is wrong for the saw/bar or what the deal is. Tried to put a Mcc chain on that are supposed to be for the mini mac or pro mac, but they dont match up to the sprocket. The links are way smaller on taht chain so I figured it would be a perfect idea. The way that sprocket and clutch are built, can't just throw on one of the other sprockets I have. had it running outside and the girlie came out and had to investigate, she loved my "cute" little saw. I told her I plan to use it to trim back my tomato plants. Well thanks for the new toy. fits right in with all the other yellow saws. JB

Hi John- might that be a 1/4" sprocket on the saw? I found a few 1/4" spur sprockets in the shelves where I found that saw. I think 1/4" was popular here with arborists in the late 70's/early 80's.

I am not sure what you call it. I checked on a few of my others and it is not really the same as any of them. I will take it apart and look into what it is actually called. It looks like a bunch of flanges sticking out from a small hub. Kinda like a flywheel, only much smaller.
