Got a slow start today, all I had to do was go to a job and pick up 2 loads of logs haul and dump. First I went to the gas station to fill up my transfer tank with diesel. That was the only thing that went right today. Next I go to my grapple truck to fuel it up and what do you know, the pump on my transfer tank burned up. So now I have $300 dollars of fuel I cannot use, but really need. Ok, I just fill her up on the way to the job. Get in an TRY to start her up, Click....click....click.... NOthing. Come to find out I left the blinker on since the last time I used it, about a week ago. Trip to napa, $400 dollars on new battaries. I finally get to the job, as I am backing up to the first load of logs, BANG!!!!!POW!!!!! HISSSSSSSSSSS. Seems a rogue pine limb with two jagged forked branches found their way between my duals on the passenger side, tore hole in the side wall of both tires. $680 dollars and 3 hours later the mobil tire guy and my check leave the site and I can finally get to work. I get the first load loaded with out any more trouble, however when I arrived at the dump it was closed. I call the office and since only 5 trucks came in the morning, they shut down at lunch. F&%$!!!!!!!S%$^. Well I guess I will go to waste management closer to town but at a cost of $51 dollars a ton. Well I dump the first load for $246, and go back to the jobsite, very pissed off. Now there is only a few more grabs left. But a little further back in the yard than the first load, so I ease back down there and start to load. I get everything picked up and start back up the hill. YEAH RIGHT!!!! No dice, ground gives out, tires fill up with mud and I am 100% stuck. AT this point, i really expected it so it really did not phase me. Called the tow service and they got me out for a minor $100. Well so much for profit on the day, and that new pair of sunglasses I was going to buy. Hey, there is hope for today yet, I am being introduced to a lady tonight, she is a former college athlete who is currently in dental school, sounds good to me, but the reality of the matter is it still is FRIDAY THE 13th.
