I am looking for a pair of safety shoes that aren’t to expensive and will last for the first few months of my career (until I worked enough to afford high quality ones) I can’t seem to find anything under $200 while I’m on a budget, I also have to look for chaps/chainsaw pants and a helmet, then I’ll have to rent climbing equipment to get through the climbing course (which can go up to €1700+ worst case scenario) so I gotta save money where I safely can.

I am now 18y/o and work a job that pays just (converted) about $25 a day so I don’t have a huge budget so I really hope someone can help me with some advice please

Are you looking for boots to use with spurs or just climbing shoes?
I've heard that keen hikers or the likes are good for pruning and whatnot. You'll need good boots for climbing on spurs, atleast a pair of logger style boots, (although they don't last 2wks for me, I snap the steel shank in them)
Your feet are you foundation, gotta take care of em. I'm currently wearing $400 haix boots so tell me about pricey, they're good tho.

Been wearing chippewa boots for the past few years. Usually get about 2 ish years out of them, lately I'm on blacktop nearly as much as dirt with them. Soles wear out long before the leather does. Last pair was ~$200.00 ish before tax. Wore red wings before that, they got too expensive then wouldn't resole a pair of $500.00 boots. Really pizzed me off.

Keen hikers for me for pruning and spurs if it's 3-4 hours or less. If I'm just spurring up spar trees, I'll wear heavy(stiff) soled leather work boots. The keens can be purchased with a steel toe if you like. I also wear keens if its all ground work, like felling.
