I have two stihl saws: 028AV and 044. Both of them have had fuel line softening problems, where they get so mushy the gas won't go through anymore. Is this a problem with new gasoline blends with ethanol? Has anyone else had this problem? Anyone know of fuel lines being made out of elastomers that can handle the newer chemicals?

Product of age and old fuel. Change them, put a filter on and clean the carb and enjoy.
