I just recieved a old David Bradley chain saw, and am wondering what the mixture of 1/2 pint SAE 30 oil per gallon of gasoline would convert to in today's standards. Also what would be the recommened way to clean the gas tank and the carb.

8 ounce per 128 oz gallon is 16:1. 128 ounces dived by 8 ounces equals 16, thus it is a 16:1 mixture. I use 8 ounce cans of Lawn Boy oil. It is packaged for mixing with two gallons at 32:1 but one can per gallon will of course give you a 16:1 mixture. You will be one tired man at the end of the day running a David Bradley.
