I think there are some post about this allready but I couldn't find them, I had something to say so I started this one.
So... you think it is not a good idea to tell your customers that fuel cost extra? Well I will tell you something; They allready know.
I don't break it down for people to see but I let them know what I GOT TO PAY FOR AND HOW MUCH IT COSTS ME. Bet your sweet bippy I do.
Not only that every other type of business does to.

We deal with that alot at the dairy...People are stupid though...They would rather pay an extra 10 cents a gallon of milk rather than pay a 3 dollar surcharge...Are people retarded or something?:monkey:

Whether it's a fuel surcharge or mileage, people simply don't like paying for drive time or fuel. I can tell a customer that there will be a miniumum charge for grinding a stump and they're ok with paying the minimum - even if it's 3-times the fee I would normally get for a really small stump. However, if I then add on a $10 mileage fee because it's a few miles out of town, they get this look on their face like a deer in your headlights - frozen stiff and not sure what to do. I'm better off if I just add the $10 mileage fee into the minumum price for doing the stump.
