Fuel tank repair?

I have a 288XP project saw where the tank has a leak at the weld seam. Has anyone had success with using tank liner on plastic Husqvarna tanks, or should I start looking for a replacement?

If you clean it well you can use a soldering iron to melt it back. Don’t burn the plastic, if it goes slightly off colour that’s fine. Alternativly
Heat a butter knife or flathead screwdriver and try that.
