Hey guys looking for a good quality rope for anything and everything. No I am not doing any climbing or rigging or whatever. Just looking for some good climbing/arborist rope in a decent length. Probably 150-200ft. Yes I know I can get some cheapo stuff from horror freight and the big box stores but just wanting some good rope. Looking for a good used rope for cash or trade. I have a few parts lying around. Just shoot me a pm if you have something. Thank you.

You can get a 150' hank of some 12 strand arbor line for like $70-$80 brand new. Most are around 7,000 lbs tensile. My personal favorite is 16 strand Samson Arbormaster which is about $150 for 150'

Yes both ropes I mentioned are "climbing" ropes but are also used as light duty rigging and tip lines as well. The 16 and 12 strands have a very durable outer sheath that resists abrasion well.

Check out Forestry Pro 12 strand. Great price, very durable and an excellent work rope for rigging. One of my favorites. A simple rope that more than does its job. Works good natural crotching or in pullys.

Tree stuff has it for 74.95 for 120 feet......check them out their a sponsors here and GREAT to do business with!!!

I ordered 150' of that as a light rigging line awhile back and treestuff sent me Arbormaster instead. I felt a little wrong getting a rope twice the price then what I paid so I called them up to see what the real was and they told me they probably didn't have it in stock so substituted it for something better. Ever since then I'm a treestuff customer for life.

Sounds like an excellent place to do business with!

I too have had excellent service from treestuff. Used rope can be found on fleepay. I got a used 70 meter mountaineering rope with a rope bag for a little over 70 bucks delivered. I have no intentions of ever using it for climbing, but it makes a nice general purpose rope that I don't mind abusing. My climbing rope was purchased new.
